Best stays in Nadi, Fiji: airport, Denarau and the beaches

Nadi is where almost every Fiji trip begins: the international airport, the Queens Road south to the Coral Coast, and the marina at Denarau where the island boats leave. Most travellers stay a night or two here on either side of an island stay, so the area runs from airport hotels to full resorts.

About this guide

Think of Nadi as three zones. The airport and town hotels suit a late arrival or an early flight — you are minutes from the terminal and the transfer operators are based here. Denarau Island, a short drive west, is the resort strip with the marina for Mamanuca and Yasawa ferries and the golf course; it is also the most expensive address. Wailoaloa and the beaches south of town are the budget-to-mid tier, and Momi Bay, about forty-five minutes south, is the quiet option with one large resort and open coast. The picks below are drawn from Kalena's catalogue with guest ratings from verified sources; the current rate, room types and booking details are on each property's page.

Practical info

Before you fly, skim our Fiji travel info page — visitor permit on arrival, the Fijian dollar, island boats from Port Denarau, driving on the left, and village protocol (sevusevu). For event timing, the Fiji events calendar covers festivals, public holidays, and what's on while you're there.
