• Best stays in Nadi, Fiji: airport, Denarau and the beaches

Nadi is where almost every Fiji trip begins: the international airport, the Queens Road south to the Coral Coast, and the marina at Denarau where the island boats leave. Most travellers stay a night or two here on either side of an island stay, so the area runs from airport hotels to full resorts.

• Where to stay in Fiji: Nadi, the Coral Coast, Suva and beyond

Fiji's main island, Viti Levu, is where most visitors sleep, and where you stay depends on what you came for: Nadi and Denarau for the airport and the island ferries, the Coral Coast between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour for beach resorts, Suva for the capital and its markets. Kalena lists Viti Levu properties with guest ratings from verified sources.

• Best resorts in Fiji: Viti Levu's top-rated beach and golf resorts

Fiji's resort belt runs along the south and west of Viti Levu: Denarau Island beside Nadi, Natadola and Momi Bay to the south, the Coral Coast from Sigatoka to Pacific Harbour. Kalena lists 34 rated resorts across those areas; the list below is ordered by guest rating from verified sources, not by who pays for placement.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza at the beginning and end of our trip to Fiji, with a stay elsewhere in between (for a total of 7 nights). We found it handy to the airport for a late night flight arrival, and for an early morning departure, without skimping on the luxury and relaxation despite being so close to the airport. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and if I were rating just on staff friendliness, helpfulness and knowledge alone, I’d give 5 stars instead of 4. Somehow, all of the staff seem to know my toddlers name and he delights at being greeted multiple times a day, every day, getting high-fives and cuddles from everyone. Where we felt slightly let down was the quality of the rooms - it’s clear the goal was luxury, but some things seem quite tired. Our first stint, we had to change rooms at midnight after our late arrival as a bed base was broken and we didn’t realise until we went to climb into bed (and had unpacked). Our subsequent rooms had faulty air con (randomly turning off or switching to heat), faulty lighting (strobe light party in the loo isn’t quite what we were after) and bathrooms doors that didn’t quite close. The facilities are lovely, the pools are incredible with access from all sides, a dedicated children pool suitable for all ages, and plenty of space to lounge, for kids and adults to enjoy and relax. There’s a lot of choice when it comes to meals, but we did find for a family-friendly resort, there’s an annoying lack of high chairs. We also didn’t have a cot on our first night here despite it being included in our booking, so we had to makeshift something using the couch - which was covered in coffee cup stains (hence my statement about things feeling tired and needing some TLC). Overall, still a great place to stay especially if you have children. Aside from the rooms feeling like they need a bit of love, the place could do with a playground somewhere, but otherwise it’s overall a fantastic holiday destination and we would happily come back.

What a beautiful hotel with kind, courteous and welcoming staff members. We arrived at the hotel to celebrate our 15 years anniversary. We had beautiful welcome, room was decorated to acknowledge our celebration and we received lovely desserts. The suite was spacious with access to a private garden. Daily housekeeping and refreshments were provided. Multiple pools and beach access are available at the hotel. Multiple restaurants and bars as well. Breakfast was delicious with great varieties available daily. Staff would acknowledge guests birthdays during breakfast daily. Kids club was a great addition and free of charge. Multiple free on site activities for the whole family. The resort is close to thr airport as well as small local shop and Multiple restaurants 5 min walk. I would warmly recommend and def visit again. Thank you all for your warm hospitality!

It is a lovely place. Be prepared to dine in there's not a lot of good choices around. It's a good thing the resort has great food. The rooms are good. We had a 2 bedroom pool access. Staff are friendly. Lots of things for kids to enjoy. Only down side is you don't have a lot to do. I would have liked to enjoy some decent channels. I don't go on holidays to watch TV but would be nice at evening. It is a nice for all. I would recommend it.

Fantastic hotel for our holiday. All the staff, without exception are helpful and friendly. The crowne plaza is an stunning resort, needs to be seen to be believed. Our favourite spots include the pool area - so many pools, restuarants and a little hidden gem, the Bean bar near the entrance - great ambience, coffee and excellent service provided by our favourite barristers kiti and Jonathan. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday. Maiden and Richard Ward

We had a fantastic stay at Crowne Plaza Fiji. The resort itself was great, but what truly made our holiday special was the staff. A special mention to Ima, who did the hair braiding. She was so kind, patient and talented, and my nieces absolutely adored her. The highlight of our trip was the Bula Boys, especially Jes and Eugene. They were incredible. They all made every activity fun and engaging for the kids and created an atmosphere that the whole family enjoyed. We looked forward to seeing them each day just as much as the children did! Their energy, enthusiasm and genuine care made our holiday so memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome. We would happily return.

We have just had an amazing holiday at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa and could not fault our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning pools, immaculate grounds and breathtaking beachfront views, especially at sunset. Our room was spacious, modern, spotless and very comfortable, with a lovely outlook over the pool and ocean. The swim-out style pools winding throughout the resort create a luxurious tropical atmosphere and were a highlight of our stay. The facilities were excellent, the resort was well maintained, and there was always plenty to do whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beach, or simply taking in the beautiful surroundings. The sunsets each evening were spectacular and made for some unforgettable memories. What really made our holiday special was the genuine warmth and hospitality of the Fijian people. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and made us feel valued throughout our stay. We would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa to couples, families and anyone looking for a relaxing tropical getaway. We are already planning our return visit! Vinaka vakalevu to all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so memorable. 🌴🌺☀️
