Where to stay in Fiji: Nadi, the Coral Coast, Suva and beyond
Fiji's main island, Viti Levu, is where most visitors sleep, and where you stay depends on what you came for: Nadi and Denarau for the airport and the island ferries, the Coral Coast between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour for beach resorts, Suva for the capital and its markets. Kalena lists Viti Levu properties with guest ratings from verified sources.

About this guide
Nadi has the airport, the transfer operators and Denarau's resort strip, so it is the default first and last night. The Queens Road runs south-east along the Coral Coast — Natadola, Sigatoka, Korotogo, Korolevu and Pacific Harbour — where the beach resorts are, with Sigatoka as the local town and the sand dunes national park beside it. Suva, the capital on the south-east corner, is a working city rather than a beach stop; it suits a stopover for the markets and museum. Lautoka, north of Nadi, is the second city and the cruise port. Rakiraki on the north coast is the quiet end of the island, reached by the Kings Road. The list below is ranked by guest rating across the whole island; use the area names above to narrow it, and check each property's page for the current rate and room types.

Best stays in Nadi, Fiji: airport, Denarau and the beaches
Nadi is where almost every Fiji trip begins: the international airport, the Queens Road south to the Coral Coast, and the marina at Denarau where the island boats leave. Most travellers stay a night or two here on either side of an island stay, so the area runs from airport hotels to full resorts.
Where to stay on the Coral Coast, Fiji
The Coral Coast is the 80-odd kilometres of Queens Road shoreline between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour — Fiji's original resort strip, strung with properties from backpacker beach bars to five-star islands. It's the pick if you want resort comfort with real Fiji outside the gate: villages, the Sigatoka valley, and reef at low tide.
One week in Fiji: a Viti Levu circle itinerary
A week is enough to do what most visitors never do: put a full circle around Viti Levu. This plan runs clockwise — Nadi, the Sabeto valley, Natadola, Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, Suva, then home along the Kings Road via Rakiraki and Lautoka. You'll see the wet and dry sides of the island, the capital, and beaches most day-trippers miss.
