  We stayed at the Fiji Orchid for 3 nights to start our honeymoon in Fiji. It was the perfect place to relax, get used to the timezone change and get a glimpse into what makes Fiji so special. The staff were all very kind and very attentive so that things happened seamlessly. As the hotel only has 6 bures (a maximum of 12 guests at a time), the resort feels very private and romantic. They surprised us with a song and cake for our 1st wedding anniversary and helped us to arrange a day trip as well as a driver to drive us to Suva. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and it feels like being in the rainforest. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, which is quite sheltered so its a great place to cool off on hot days rather than sunbathe as there isn’t much direct sun. The food at the resort was great too, the breakfast is quite light with fruit, toast and two eggs included and the lunch and dinners were à la carte. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!

  The entire staff was amazing. They are truly caring and lovely people. This is a perfect place for a secluded get away. Tucked away and limited wifi, (meaning not being sucked into your phones, unless you pay to have that option through your carrier). Just remember to ask if you want anything special, because they might be able to help. They will even either run you where you want to go or at least set up transportation for you. We couldn't have asked for better treatment. I would definitely recommend this lovely place as a destination. But you will need to either take a little walk to where the beach is, or arrange transportation. But still worth it.

  Our stay began on a very positive note. The team were incredibly accommodating, even preparing dinner for us on arrival despite the late hour, which we greatly appreciated. They also assisted with our luggage and made us feel genuinely welcome—this level of hospitality was a real highlight. While there were no major issues, we did experience a few minor inconveniences. The rooms had some gaps which allowed insects to enter, and we encountered a few spiders and cockroach-like bugs, which was challenging for one guest with arachnophobia. We also had some maintenance concerns, including air conditioning that did not appear to be working effectively and a blocked toilet. Accessibility was difficult, as access to the restaurant required climbing around 20–25 steps, which was not suitable for one member of our group with MS. While we appreciated being offered transport on our final evening, it would have been helpful to know this option was available earlier. We also found communication and dining arrangements a little challenging. There was some pressure to pre-order meals and confirm times in advance, and as we relied on room service, we occasionally felt this may have been inconvenient for staff. Additionally, there was no phone in the room, and with intermittent internet, contacting staff via WhatsApp was not always reliable. Lastly, although spa and wellness services were advertised, we were informed on arrival that the masseuse was unavailable. This meant arranging alternative services elsewhere at additional cost, and advance notice would have been appreciated. Overall, we truly valued the warm welcome and hospitality, and with a few improvements, the experience could be even better. All in all we still had a great time with great people. 😊

The hotel is beautifully set among lush tropical gardens, creating a peaceful and private atmosphere that feels far removed from the crowds. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with everything I needed for a perfect stay. Waking up each morning surrounded by nature was a real highlight. What truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible hospitality. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Their kindness and professionalism made me feel more like a valued guest than just a visitor. The food was delicious, the pool area was serene, and the overall vibe of the hotel is calm, elegant, and authentically Fijian. It’s the perfect place to unwind while still being conveniently located for exploring the area. If you’re looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay with outstanding service and a beautiful setting, I cannot recommend Fiji Orchid Hotel highly enough. I will absolutely be returning and would encourage anyone visiting Fiji to experience this wonderful place.
