Where to stay in Fiji: Nadi, the Coral Coast, Suva and beyond
Fiji's main island, Viti Levu, is where most visitors sleep, and where you stay depends on what you came for: Nadi and Denarau for the airport and the island ferries, the Coral Coast between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour for beach resorts, Suva for the capital and its markets. Kalena lists Viti Levu properties with guest ratings from verified sources.
Best resorts in Fiji: Viti Levu's top-rated beach and golf resorts
Fiji's resort belt runs along the south and west of Viti Levu: Denarau Island beside Nadi, Natadola and Momi Bay to the south, the Coral Coast from Sigatoka to Pacific Harbour. Kalena lists 34 rated resorts across those areas; the list below is ordered by guest rating from verified sources, not by who pays for placement.

We stay at a lot of resorts and this was recommended to our family from our travel planner. The resort is in need of major updates and renovations. Most of their equipment is quite dated and you expect more for the amount you are paying. For the kids club- each child gets a nanny which is great but I wish they had more planned activities that would integrate the children. For the adults: just sit by the pool and if the weather isn’t great- the hotel doesn’t do anything to entertain their guests. Instead, when you are ordering food or drinks they make it a point to remind you of uncharges and it just gives guests an uncomfortable feeling. We spoke with several other guests, who kind of had the same feeling and felt like the resort could do way more, but they just choose not to. Sad because we were optimistic about the stay but it just landed flat. Room service takes forever and usually arrives cold. There is no sense of urgency or understanding that you are here on vacation and would like things done and to make your stay more relaxing. They say they spray for mosquitos but we were eaten alive despite wearing repellant. I would choose a different resort and really do your research.

Our family spent a week here, and it was perfect. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was delicious! We mostly stick with seafood or chicken. The Lailai kids club kept our 10 years old busy! It’s included with our stay. His Nanuku Buddy Laz was sweet, fun and active. Making the Fiji experience more memorable with kayaking, biking, mangroves planting and farm visit. Our son ask if we could stay another week here. lol. He loves it! The warm hospitality and top notch servic and relax atmosphere was what our family needed. Until next time, Vinika to the Nanuku tribe for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!

Located 2.5 hours from Nadi International airport, Nanuku Resort is a beautiful property to just get away from the hustle and bustle. Staff were friendly and warm. It’s all about the service and hospitality for us when we travel. Nanuku Resort delivers it and more! Pros: Wonderful Personal Nanuku buddy or nanny for your child. Don’t forget to tip. They are all very sweet. Great activities for kids at the LaiLai Kid’s Club. Good Food. Stick with seafood or chicken. Beach is usually empty. Meeting points for Rivers Fiji activities is 5 minutes away. Complimentary pick up at the resort. Great Friday Night Event with complimentary Nanuku drinks and Kava drink. Top Notch Pool side service. Fresh coconuts Cons: Off site activities are expensive. Book it directly yourself if you can.

Talk about FIVE STAR Nanuku Resort is better than that. We were welcomed like VIP's and escorted by the village chief and the drumming team right through the complex to a special point overlooking the beach and ocean. Our room was awesome and the little touches by the house keeping staff were very much appreciated. We were given a tour of our room and all amenities were explained. We partook of the breakfast in the dining area and again the hospitality was five star. When we were about to leave we were serenaded by about eight staff members with the Fijian farewell song Isa Lei. Nanuku Resort is a MUST stay and we will return one day.

Our stay at Nanuku Resort was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel genuinely welcome — not just as guests, but like family. The level of service was exceptional and easily the standout of our trip. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every interaction felt warm, personal, and sincere. What meant the most to us was the way the team embraced our baby, Andreas, with so much love and care. They adored him like he was one of their own, and as parents, that made our experience even more special and comfortable. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so supported and cared for as a family. The resort itself is stunning — the amenities are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained. Everything was spotless, and you could see the attention to detail in every part of the property. But above all, it’s the people and the service that make Nanuku so special. They created memories for our family that we’ll never forget. It was such a special experience that we’re already talking about making this a yearly family tradition. We can’t wait to come back.

A lovely quiet establishment and the quality of their suites is fantastic. Great a/c, indulgent bathrooms, good bed, excellent living room and a short stroll down to the dining area and main pool and beach. The location of the hotel is good and the staff were all lovely. Food quality high and the small beach was spotless and a few steps from our suite. We really enjoyed our stay and this place gave us our best overall accommodation during our six week around the world trip. Hire a car like we did and self drive around the island as Fiji is so much more then resorts and tourists.
