DO NOT EAT HERE - the food is awful. 3 of us came for the Thursday buffet and it was one of the worst meals of our lives. Absolutely awful. Meat awful, fish awful, salads awful, vegetables awful, desserts awful. Nothing was labelled so we didn’t know what we were eating until we asked. Nothing was fresh, meats and fish overcooked. Not much range - ended up ordering two servings of fries because we were so hungry. We were undercharged by $100 and said that can’t be correct but Bernadette said it was then followed us out stressing because she realised her error and charged us the other $100. Now I’m super glad we didn’t stay here because the whole place is ridiculously run down and I can only imagine the state of the rooms. Having been to the Pearl resort the other day, I cannot stress how worlds apart these two resorts are.

Had a great stay at Uprising Beach Resort in Fiji. The villas are really nice, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. There is WiFi available in the small reception area and in the restaurant, which was very helpful during the stay. A special mention to the security guard, Divet, who made our stay so much more enjoyable. He has such a kind nature, was always fun to be around, and genuinely made guests feel welcome and safe. He is truly an asset to the hotel. Highly recommend staying here!

Uprising Beach Resort is pure island magic—stunning ocean views, relaxing vibes, and the perfect escape from the everyday rush. Whether it’s the beach, food, or atmosphere, everything just hits right—once you visit, you won’t want to leave. Vinaka 👍

Visited for lunch & some beach time. Weather was great, although there was a brief shower. We had (fish & chips, but not malt vinegar for chips/ fries) and a burger. Both ok. Service was great. Staff fantastic. Prices - reasonable.

This is a lovely resort, not too far from the port, if you are on a cruise ship. The food we had, ika vaka lolo, was delicious, and reasonably priced. However, the lovely pool was a touch slimy and had garbage in it, such as several tissues, a plastic cup and some unidentified floating objects. The gardens are lovely, but again there is a fair amount of litter: plastic cups, soft drink cans, cigarette ends. The staff were helpful, but overrun, when half a cruise ship full of people turned up, so the queues at the bar and for food, were lengthy. There was WiFi near the bar, but I think this also got overwhelmed by the numbers. It was windy when we were there and the sea was warm, but quite choppy.

This is a casual resort on the beach. I was only there for the day so can't comment on the rooms other than to say they were a series of beach front cottages and looked nice. The public areas had a bar and sit down restaurant, a smallish pool by big resort standards but plenty for kids to have a great time in. They also had a beachfront bar with undercover seating and a small menu. The beach is relatively small but clean and no rocks. It's clearly a middle of the road family resort and was quite busy even in February.
