Where to stay on the Coral Coast, Fiji
The Coral Coast is the 80-odd kilometres of Queens Road shoreline between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour — Fiji's original resort strip, strung with properties from backpacker beach bars to five-star islands. It's the pick if you want resort comfort with real Fiji outside the gate: villages, the Sigatoka valley, and reef at low tide.
Where to stay in Fiji: Nadi, the Coral Coast, Suva and beyond
Fiji's main island, Viti Levu, is where most visitors sleep, and where you stay depends on what you came for: Nadi and Denarau for the airport and the island ferries, the Coral Coast between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour for beach resorts, Suva for the capital and its markets. Kalena lists Viti Levu properties with guest ratings from verified sources.
Best resorts in Fiji: Viti Levu's top-rated beach and golf resorts
Fiji's resort belt runs along the south and west of Viti Levu: Denarau Island beside Nadi, Natadola and Momi Bay to the south, the Coral Coast from Sigatoka to Pacific Harbour. Kalena lists 34 rated resorts across those areas; the list below is ordered by guest rating from verified sources, not by who pays for placement.

We had a wonderful time at Maui Palms. The penthouse room was so big and spacious. A games room on the upper level with a table tennis table and a snooker table, lounges to relax and read. Full kitchen if you where so inclined for cooking which we were not as the on site restaurant provided delicious meals. All the staff where wonderful. So helpful, wanting to help in any way they could. Free activities provided, Reef walks, feeding the fish, weaving demonstrations, snorkeling. Absolutely fantastic. Everything was clean and tidy, the rooms, grounds, swimming pool, beach loungers. Highly recommend. Thanks to the Maui Palms team. You made our stay very special. Julie, Emma and Paul.

Loved our stay at the Maui Palms. Staff were very helpful and ran the daily activities very well. Having booked the full board package, the team even cooked us dinner on the first night we arrived which we weren’t expecting. It’s a small hotel with both apartments and villas, so go expecting to meet and get to know the small team who will do all they can to look after you - it’s not like the large resorts at Denerau and in my view better for it. The water activities are timed based on the tide and thus change daily. The hill walk is a good bit of exercise with great views. There are some differences to the big resorts - you ask for your rooms to be cleaned and it’s not a big buffet breakfast - it’s all al-La-carte, but none the worse for it. Once you arrive communication is all through WhatsAp and you can order your dinner and book your dining time all through WhatsAp etc. We did have challenges with email between booking and arrival, but made a call to confirm we’d been booked a transfer and we were all good. The team are very friendly and helpful, our son learned to scrape out a coconut and open almonds. The hotel is set in Maui Bay Estates which at some point was going to be a gated community and is now home to some big villas and Maui Palms. Maui Bay itself has the long jetty, three restaurants a petrol station and a supermarket all within walking distance of Maui Palms. It’s somewhere between 90 minutes and 2 hours transfer from Nadi Airport, depending on the time of day and traffic in Nadi. Overall, it’s a friendly team doing their best to help families and couples enjoy their holidays at a location where snorkelling, kayaking and relaxing are the things to do.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Maui Palms Fiji! From the moment we checked in, the service was exceptional. We were pleasantly surprised with the effort of Neel to give us a beautiful room that made our trip even more special— the room was lovely, spacious, and beautifully maintained. What really stood out was the staff. Neel and Norman went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, always friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. Aku kept us engaged with optional complimentary activities throughout the day which was amazing! Big shout out to Litti, Mathias and all other staff who I can't recollect the names of. The hotel itself is a gem, and combined with such genuine and caring service. We'd highly recommend Maui Palms Fiji to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch hospitality. Food is a big plus too. Can't wait to come back!

We had the best time at Maui Palms. The staff were great - super friendly, funny & took the time to learn our names which was a super personal touch we loved. They organized pick ups, activities, gave us helpful local advice. Norman was amazing - very obliging & super friendly. They had free daily activities with the staff too! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Coral Coast wanting a more personal experience over a large commercial resort!

We had an amazing time at Maui Palms! The location is beautiful with amazing snorkelling just off the beach. Activities are all free and include snorkelling, kayaking, reef walking, hiking and tennis. The staff were also wonderful. There is room service free of charge and if you book on their website breakfast is included for free. The only downsides were poor response to emails prior to our stay (I think they use WhatsApp mostly) and the pools are not heated (although the infinity pool is beautiful). Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and are grateful towards the staff at Maui Palms.

The staff make this place - an incredible team and Norman the star of the show. Any problem you have Norm will act like it is his single mission in life to solve it. While also tending to everything else at the same time. A rare management talent with a bright future. Great snorkelling out front, the owner must realise that for 15 USD a piece he could replace the badly ageing gear. As well as for about $2 he could buy more ping pong balls for the Penthouse Suite. Small and simple things. The kitchen staff are great but the menu is atrocious, in terms of what you get and what you pay. We ate almost every meal down the road. Cocktails are great. Place needs some input from owners, very simple fixes for everything, or just give Norm the authority to sort everything out.
