Day tours from Nadi: what you can do in a day from Fiji's arrival city

Nadi's operators run most of Viti Levu's day trips: the Sabeto hot springs and mud pools just north of town, the Biausevu waterfall village walk on the Coral Coast, fishing and snorkelling off the west coast, and full-day loops that string several together. Every tour below is run by a Fijian operator and can be booked directly on Kalena.

About this guide

Three operators cover the ground. Ratakele Transfers & Tours and Tropical Fiji Tours and Transfers are Nadi-based and run the classic half- and full-day sightseeing loops plus the airport and hotel transfers that get you there. Bula Online Fiji Tours and Watersports works out of Sigatoka on the Coral Coast, about an hour south, for the Biausevu waterfall village tour, coral-garden snorkelling in the marine reserve, surfing and game fishing. Some departures are marked for cruise-ship passengers only because they are timed to a ship's call; the rest run for anyone. Most tours set a minimum group size, shown on the tour page before you pick a date, and a few include a village welcome where a sulu (sarong) and a small gift of kava are customary — the tour page says when.

Practical info

Before you fly, skim our Fiji travel info page — visitor permit on arrival, the Fijian dollar, island boats from Port Denarau, driving on the left, and village protocol (sevusevu). For event timing, the Fiji events calendar covers festivals, public holidays, and what's on while you're there.
