  Denarau Island sits about 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport, on the west coast of Viti Levu, and it's where most of Fiji's international resort brands cluster — Hilton, Sofitel, Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Westin and Wyndham all have properties here, joined by shared roads and a golf course rather than a public town. Many Fiji trips spend a night or two on Denarau, either side of time on an outer island, since the marina at Port Denarau is the departure point most travellers use for boats out to the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands, and its retail strip is where the island's restaurants and duty-free shops sit.   As a Hilton Diamond Member I felt, more than appreciated and cared for while staying at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort! First was the check in experience, Sweta was so wonderful, kind, and attentive. When I mistakenly left my passport at the front desk, she was just getting a porter ready to come find me when I returned to claim it, going out of her way knowing I was taken care of. Second, she was able to recognize my status by upgrading the first room to an ocean view 1 bedroom suite and the second room to an Ocean View shared plunge pool 1 bedroom suite! This was absolutely amazing for us as it allowed us the opportunity to do laundry after several days of previous travel, as well as have a nearly private plunge pool to ourselves complete with sun chairs and a bed! Loved the breakfast, and even the continental option was not your typical US one, but very extensive with lots of options even if you did not pay the $16 FJD to upgrade to the full experience. Free parking was abundant and always an open spot close to the lobby. Now the negatives: First was the Adults only activities were non existent even though they were promised. I sat out in the hot sun for 45 mins waiting for the pineapple smashing competition that never happened with zero communication from anybody because there was no one staffing the towel hut. The water aerobics were also 30 mins behind schedule, but im just thankful those actually happened. The extra waiting with no communication, resulted in me getting sun poisoning which I am still recovering from days later. The beach that everyone raves about is really a swim at your own risk. We were wondering why no one was swimming in the ocean, only to find out that killer deadly string rays inhabited the waters and could take the life of you or your loved one at any given moment. We didn't realize this until after we swam. Thank goodness we escaped with our lives! Due to the lack of consistency and not staying to their word of a schedule, is why they lost the 1 star, otherwise it would have been perfect!

  Our family visited Fiji for the first time last week and stayed at the beautiful Hilton in Denarau. We had the most amazing experience. When we first arrived, we did have some issues with our room, however the staff were so accommodating and helpful throughout the situation. Everyone we spoke to was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our 3 year old had Lenny as her babysitter and she was absolutely amazing with our daughter. We felt so comfortable knowing she was in such caring hands. We highly recommend staying at the Hilton if you’re visiting Denarau. It truly will not disappoint. Vinaka for such a wonderful family holiday 🙏🇫🇯

  Spent 10 magnificent days at this resort and it was truly heaven! Friendly and accommodating staff. A selection of pools, water sports available, relaxation overload, spoiled for dinner options, massages and daily entertainment by the pool. We visited in May so it was perfect time as we enjoyed peaceful surroundings without the school holiday stayers. Weather was perfection every day. It even reflected how we felt on our last day as it drizzled. Beautiful people, beautiful resort. BULA!

General Manager Arun and his entire team exemplify hospitality at its finest. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction made our stay truly exceptional. The resort grounds are beautiful and the overall service is second to none. We are already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Fiji.

  ⭐️ WEDDING REVIEW ⭐️ My husband and I got married in July 2026. We began planning with Hannah Persson in late 2025. We cannot speak highly enough of Hannah and how incredible she is. Her organisational and communication skills are second to none. She was amazing from start to finish - from the early planning stages and answering lotttts of questions, to coordinating with vendors on the day to make our dream wedding come to life - and even spending 15 minutes with me on the night to help me remove a pin that was sewn into my dress!! Every single staff member made our stay and wedding a memorable experience. Everyone is so super lovely and helpful. Special shout out to the lovely Nancy from reception who remembered us from check in and came over to wish us a happy wedding day the day before as she wasn't going to be working the next day. Small gestures like this made us so grateful we chose the Hilton for our wedding. Vinaka!! We will be back soon ❤️

  I can't say enough great things about our first visit here. Unbeknownst to us, the island was hit by a Category 3 typhoon while we were enroute. 🌀⛈️ The property had a few downed trees, damaged buildings, debris everywhere (including our room's pool), and more. 🛎🌴 Considering that, the hotel was low-manned and it took hours to get checked in. We made the best of it by eating at the breakfast buffet, followed by taking the Bula Bus to the port to explore. 🚎 While a little dated, the room was way more than what we expected. 🛏🛋 After a few days, the plunge pool was clean and clear. Our room steward, Lucy, was A-MAZING! 💐 She went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. We plan to request her each visit. Depending on your room's location, the walk can be up to 20 minutes so definitely use the complimentary Bula Express. The wait can be long during peak times so plan accordingly. There's lit of activities and a ln adults only pool and restaurant. 🏊‍♀️🍽 The beach wasn't good, perhaps due to the typhoon. The water was brown and no one swam the entire time. 🌊 Don't forget to explore the other nearby resorts. Most have better shopping options and lobbys.
