Best stays in Nadi, Fiji: airport, Denarau and the beaches
Nadi is where almost every Fiji trip begins: the international airport, the Queens Road south to the Coral Coast, and the marina at Denarau where the island boats leave. Most travellers stay a night or two here on either side of an island stay, so the area runs from airport hotels to full resorts.
Where to stay in Fiji: Nadi, the Coral Coast, Suva and beyond
Fiji's main island, Viti Levu, is where most visitors sleep, and where you stay depends on what you came for: Nadi and Denarau for the airport and the island ferries, the Coral Coast between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour for beach resorts, Suva for the capital and its markets. Kalena lists Viti Levu properties with guest ratings from verified sources.

Stayed at Trans International Hotel for one night before an international flight, mainly because of its convenient location near the airport. The staff were friendly, and the security staff were genuinely helpful with my luggage, so credit where it’s due. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives ended. The room was in pretty poor condition and definitely not what I expected. The bathroom light didn’t work, the TV didn’t work, and there was no internet in the room. The desk had obvious fingerprint marks, the fridge was dirty, and the chairs were visibly stained. It honestly felt like the room hadn’t had a proper clean or maintenance check before we arrived. And for an airport hotel, there isn’t even a shuttle service, which was another disappointment. Being close to the airport is convenient, but without a shuttle, you’re still left having to arrange and pay for your own transport. The friendly staff were a positive, but unfortunately they can’t make up for the condition of the room and the lack of basic facilities. Convenient location? Yes. Good airport hotel? Not in my experience. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I had absolutely no other option.

Avoid this hotel. I booked an overnight stay for my cousin and her friend. HUGE MISTAKE ON MY PART. The hotel wouldn't give there $50 bond back, because there was mascara on the pillowcase. Her friend washed the pillowcase and gave it back to them. Only then, did they return her money. How ridiculous. I have never in my life heard of such stupidity. This hotel is full of scammers in my opinion. Most definitely will not book in this place again. The only good thing was the closeness to the airport. Next time I'll pay more and stay at the one directly opposite the airport.

Terrible, best to look elsewhere or tough it out. No towels as they were in laundry. Never received them after being told we would. Large spider in room had to fight with and kill. Room needs a deep clean. Dust and hair everywhere. TV was not working they said it was being worked on. Slow overloaded staff as they seem understaffed. We stayed because we were only there for 8 hours before leaving to airport. Also mould on pillow cases and sheets. They need all new linen and towels.

Found the room clean and beds comfortable. A more improvement with TV, no programs and the shower, water leaked to the room so had to use 1 towel to stop the water. When asked for an extra, got told, towels were in the washer. All these should be ready before guests arrive. But we had a good night's rest, woke up early, taxi dropped us at the international airport. It's the closed and cheaper if booked directly with hotel.

Dirty, disgusting unkempt hotel. The inside of every cupboard in our room was mouldy. We had 2 cockroaches in our bathroom. Linen on our bed was stained. No towels in our room and when we asked for a couple of towels, we were given towels that were dirty and stained as if they were unwashed for a month. No pool towels. TVs in ALL rooms don't work. No pool chairs. Dirty floors everywhere. No lift or help taking bags up 3 floors. Glass in doors and windows in the entire building looks like they have never been cleaned. There were even lots of mouse droppings on each floor. Broken tiles everywhere. My advice would be to consider staying elsewhere. We would NEVER stay there again. We've done lots of travelling and this place was by far, the worst.

Pretty dated property. There was no hot water so we couldn’t shower, but luckily we were only staying one night before an early flight. The only real advantage is the location - just a 5-minute easy walk from the airport
