  Sadly not for us, fantastic clean tidy and welcoming entrance. Ended there. Rooms very dark, leaking aircon, bloody hard to open ranch slider, dirty tiles, no top sheet on one bed. Food was unappealing. However, great shower and towels, nice gardens. Served the purpose but would not choose to stay again.

  We stayed here with a toddler 2 weeks ago and were pleased with our overall experience at Tanoa Tusitala. Our shuttle 🚕 to and from the airport was early and our 2nd driver was really funny and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful even though it’s a little dated. We loved the indoor-outdoor flow of the design and the Samoan carvings, artwork 🖼️ and statues dotted around the hotel as well as the many fruit trees. Breakfast buffet is decent and serves some local dishes and fruits 🍌🥭 The restaurant and room service however has a very limited menu and serves western food only. Their fruit smoothie and pina colada were our faves! 🍹Tanoa is close to so many restaurants and cafes ☕️ within walking distance as well as Savalalo market. Both swimming pools are clean and our toddler really loved the kids pool. We especially liked the service from the bartender with the cool playlist, the young man at the front desk and the girls from breakfast buffet. Thank you Tanoa! 🌺🌸 - Ana

  This rating is purely based on the restaurant and quality of the food. We had a table of 18 and each and every one of us were extremely disappointed. Food wasn’t fresh at all, especially the chicken, steak and beef. Food was cold too when bought out, so that made us feel uneasy. Majority refused to eat their meals, and some were left feeling sick. Being a well known hotel in Samoa, their food should be exceptional! but this wasn’t the case 🥲 I hope Tanoa look into their kitchen hand and produce and do better.

  Located by the old market Tanoa Tusitala is a great hotel! They had their pool redone in 2018 and it’s still in great condition! The rooms are very comfortable and the resort restaurant is a great spot to grab a meal if you don’t want to go out on the town. They don’t have beach front access but they make up for it with private beautiful courtyards and great room prices!

  Location is great right in Apia, close to markets and shops. Buffet breakfast is great and small changes daily. Food from the menu is not too bad and reasonably priced. The only negative is that the air conditioning really struggled and it’s so humid and HOT in Samoa. We even changed rooms and it still struggled- we had no relief. The service is good they really tried to accommodate- unfortunately it comes down to the owner not investing in adequate air conditioning. I will try it again to see if there’s improvements.

  We had a wonderful time here. Great staff, fantastic location to Apia city. Good prices. The only thing that was not great was the menu was basic, didn't change the whole time we were there which was 5 to 6 days. The good thing though is that there are a lot of restaurants within 5 mins walk.
