  We had a wonderful, refreshing week at Le Vasa. The grounds are beautiful, views to Manono and Savai'i amazing, and the pool area well kept and relaxing. We had an oceanfront bungalow (#7) which was very spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed watching the fish in the shallows from our balcony. A few niggles included the bathroom, which has a very small sink and no mirror, and hot water was very temperamental (and stopped working completely on the last night). The service was always friendly but sometimes slow - we requested towels after room service took them away, but not enough of them and we waited a while. We used the kayaks and SUPs multiple times and there was always someone on hand to arrange these for us and the equipment was in good working condition. We didn't go on any of the resort's excursions/tours as they were fairly pricey, but others we talked to went on the snorkeling tour around Manono Island which they said was great. There was a lovely cultural evening on the Saturday night with music, dancing, and fire dance (10 tala pp). Snorkeling around the resort was poor, even after a settled spell of weather like we had. There are a few small bits of coral, but lots of sediment and low visibility. We took a kayak out to the reef edge, 1km north from the resort, where the snorkeling was much better, but be careful with wind and sea conditions if you want to do this (prevailing direction is offshore). The giant clam sanctuary is 30 min drive over the hill and has easily accessible snorkeling with incredible clams, turtles, coral, and fish to see. Note also, the report pool is around 5 ft deep (not quite 6 ft as per the sign) and has no fence/gate or supervision, so be very careful with kids who can't touch the bottom! There is a shop across the road selling basic food and drinks (including cold beers).

  Beautiful location not far from the airport but far enough to not hear anything but the ocean waves and birds. The bungalows are right on the waters edge, and very spacious. The king bed was comfortable, but the sheets and pillows were ready for replacement. The food and drinks are really good and the service is quicker then most in Samoa. The lagoon is very much affected by the tides so when it's low tide there is not much water left in it. Kayaks, SUPs, and swim gear are available for use during high tide. The pool is a good size but only 6ft deep. Love how they seem to have thought of everything to keep you entertained and relaxed. To top it all off, the sunsets are amazing here. I would definitely recommend Le Vasa to anyone looking to unwind and relax at the tail end of their stay in Samoa.

  We stayed at Le Vasa Resort and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, spectacular views and traditional fales. The setting was stunning, and we appreciated the opportunity to experience Samoa’s natural beauty. The staff were welcoming and shared their culture with us, which we genuinely appreciated. Their warmth and willingness to share aspects of Samoan culture helped make our stay memorable. The food, unfortunately, was disappointing. For the prices charged, we expected a much higher standard, but at times the meals were bland and lacked flavour. On one occasion, our meals were inedible, which was particularly disappointing. Our concerns were not acknowledged by management, leaving us feeling let down. Some nights, seafood was also unavailable. While Le Vasa has a beautiful location and some wonderful aspects, there are certainly areas around the resort that need attention and improvement.

  Le Vasa Resort is extremely well located, with an amazing view and a beautiful setting. The staff are very friendly and genuinely do their best to accommodate requests and make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable, although they are starting to show their age a little. Overall, we found the experience to be very good value for money and a lovely way to experience Samoa. A special mention to Fatu, who took us on a fantastic snorkelling experience to the giant clam spot. It was a memorable experience and very much appreciated!

  Very convenient place to stay for its location to the airport. Staff are very friendly and willing to help. Restaurant had good food but the service was a little slow. I found it hard to relax at the resort as it constantly smelled like cigarettes. They need to designate a smoking area on the premises. Could smell it while eating dinner, laying by the pool and in the room as well. Saw staff smoking very close to the main areas as well. Overall good experience but just wished they were more conscious of the smoking.

  I stayed here the night before my 5am flight to Fiji. The room was large, shower hot, and food decent. I got a shuttle bus at 2am which was easy enough. I also had a traditional Samoan tea leaf massage in my room - this was fantastic and a highlight of my stay at Le Vasa, so I wanted to say a big thank you!
