  Had the most amazing time at Geckos, service was 11/10! Great location if you are looking for something on the cheaper side. Took the bikes out into the village, the people are so friendly. Our room was clean and food was delicious. Will 100% be staying here again when I come visit Fiji next. Thank you Mary & Lee and all the other beautiful crew at Geckos x

  This Hotel is absolutely amazing, I can’t recommend staying here enough. I feel like we got a more authentic and lovely experience in Fiji. It’s affordable and the staff are absolutely lovely Mere in particular was so helpful and amazing, she has such a sweet personality. I also had the best food I’ve had in my whole holiday in Fiji in this hotel. Overall I would say the staff made this experience for us highly enjoyable and if I ever come back I’d love to visit them again. Not to mention we were in a big group for family and it was amazing because we were all staying in rooms next to each other. Great memories made and bonding chances we wouldn’t have had, had we chose to stay somewhere else. Some of our other family were staying at the Shangri-la and in comparison, the gecko’s resort was way better by a long shot in terms of 5 star Fijian customer service, quality of food, affordability and comfort. Our other family had paid double what we paid and were wishing they came to stay at Geckos!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!! Thank you again to the lovely staff that made our experience memorable💕💕💕

  Our time at Gecko’s was lovely! Room was spacious and sparkling clean with a powerful AC to beat the tropical humidity. The staff were especially friendly and accomodating and made us feel right at home. The pool and grounds were well taken care of, and the common areas inviting. Pizza at lunch was a real standout, as was the friendly service. We’d recommend a visit for anyone wanting to experience a more authentic Fijian holiday away from the big international chains.

  My partner and I stayed here for 10 nights, not only was this place beautiful so were the staff! They really made our trip so special and made us feel so at home and welcome! Even when we had an enormous amount of rain and everything flooded the ladies from the front kept the mood up, kept smiles on their faces and made us all laugh! I cannot recommend staying here enough, if you want a real taste of Fiji, to have a personalised experience, to feel at home and safe, book in at Geckos! Not only are they affordable but they’re just all around amazing! My only complaint would be this place deserves an upgrade! For the amenities and exterior to reflect how truly amazing this place is. Ps the chicken schnitzel was amazing!

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ A genuine Fijian experience – warm people, great location, value for $$$, but a little tired We’re giving Geckos Resort 3 stars — not because of the service (which was truly 5-star), but because the resort itself is older and showing a bit of wear. That said, the rooms and grounds are meticulously clean, and it’s clear that it was once a 5-star property in its day. The staff were incredible — friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their warmth really made our stay memorable. If you have a car, the location is very convenient — centrally located on the stunning Coral Coast and just across the road from the Shangri-La Resort, not far from the beautiful Bisuewa Village and Waterfalls, and only five minutes from Yadua shopping complex, where the Blue Zone Mediterranean Restaurant is a must-visit. Across the road, the river views and sunsets are stunning, and watching the local kids swimming and playing there was such a lovely, authentic touch — they were polite, friendly, and full of joy. Overall, we loved our stay here, even compared to our second (more luxurious) hotel. Geckos gave us a real taste of Fiji, its culture, and its beautiful people. We would definitely stay again for the experience and the genuine hospitality.
