Mt Vaea Track

Mt Vaea Track is a walking trail on Upolu that climbs 470m from the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum to Stevenson's tomb on the summit. Two routes are available: the steep "Road of Loving Hearts" takes around 30 minutes uphill, while the longer southern ridge path takes about 1.5 hours. Both routes end at a low stone tomb with views over Apia harbour. The trail is open daily and best visited in early morning to avoid heat.
