We spent 6 nights here at Yatule and it exceeded expectations in every way. The location is amazing, situated in the middle of a gorgeous emerald watered bay, with white sandy beaches at the doorstep. We swam and snorkalled several times a day, in water cool enough to refresh but warm enough to spend as long as you like in. There's a beautiful long reef to explore, either with the aid of boats or kayaks, or just swim out from the beach. We saw new types of tropical fish each time, in an array of colours and sizes. Fiji locals and tourist veterans claim this is the best beach in Fiji, and we think they are spot on. The design of the resort is clever. Spread out amongst lovely native gardens, the bungalows give a private place to sleep and relax, but everything is close enough to be convenient. The vibe is very chill, perfect for a relaxing holiday. We drifted to sleep each night listening to the slosh of the gentle waves on the shore. Rooms are decent size with little balconies to sit and read on. There are two restaurants - the main dining area for all meals and a very good smaller Japanese restaurant. Breakfast has a good range of choices, including morning health shots that got us going for the day's activities. Lots of fresh fruit and the choice of hot breakfasts were appreciated. Great coffee. Lunch and dinner also had a wide selection of western and Asian dishes. Overall the food was fresh, tasty, generously proportioned and well prepared. The staff were exceptional. Everyone is very friendly without being cloying or obsequious. Service is pretty quick and always friendly. Staff tried to meet every request, from ice buckets to booking a game of golf at the championship course next door and arranging transport. Afternoon volleyball games, bush walks, coconut tasting and snorkel tours were our favourite activities. We felt the resort attracted relaxed and friendly people, and we liked the chats over meals or cocktails. A huge thanks to all the staff for their effort in making our stay such a pleasure. I dont write many reviews of trips, and certainly none this lengthy, but we really felt this place deserved it. If and when we can, we will return!

A Hidden Gem on Fiji's Main Island! Yatule Resort & Spa was a wonderful place to stay and one we would happily return to. The beach is among the best we have experienced. It is wide, open, and absolutely beautiful, with soft white sand, stunning sunsets, and some of the most powerful waves we have ever seen. The sound alone is incredible. You can actually feel the vibration as the waves crash onto the shore throughout the resort. At low tide, you can walk a long way out into the warm, shallow water, making it a fantastic place to explore, swim, or simply relax and take in the scenery. We also saw plenty of surfing along the beach, which added to the atmosphere. The resort itself is small and intimate, which we loved. There are no large crowds or busy atmosphere, just a peaceful setting where you can truly unwind. The bures were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They were a little smaller than we expected, but since we spent most of our time enjoying the beach and resort, it really was not an issue. The bathroom was one of the standout features of the accommodation. It was beautifully designed and surprisingly spacious. The food was exceptional. Every meal was packed with flavour, beautifully prepared, and consistently outstanding. We even left a separate review for Chef Sandy because the dining experience deserves special recognition. If nothing else, come here for the food. It really is that good. What truly completed the experience was the staff. Every person we encountered was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely wanted guests to have an amazing stay. If we return to Fiji and stay on the main island again, Yatule Resort & Spa will absolutely be our first choice. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful beachfront escape with outstanding food, beautiful scenery, great surfing, and genuine Fijian hospitality.

Our time at the Yatule was the sleeper hit of our trip! The staff was very friendly, and our room was clean - we were pretty lucky that we didn't have a neighbour in our bure for most of the stay as it did get noisy our last day when someone moved in. We were surprised by the quality of the breakfast buffet, and charmed by the local cat who stops by for a bite of his own. The restaurant was good for dinner, though it's too bad the tandoori isn't available every night - that was our favourite! I didn't find the Japanese restaurant hit the mark, but I'm from Vancouver, so pretty fussy about my Japanese food. Luke, the activities director, was amazing. Don't miss his snorkel trips and crab races. So happy I was able to stay here and would like to return one day!

Quiet resort right on one of the best main island beaches. No kids while we were there, mainly older couples. Perfect to relax for a week. Staff are friendly and unobtrusive, just lovely. You might have to repeat a drink order occasionally but what's the hurry, you're on island time 😊 Stay next door at the Intercontinental if you want extensive facilities, kids clubs etc at a premium price though.

A beautiful stay with the most beautiful people! The staff are gorgeous and truly go over and above for everyone. Beautiful songs throughout the stay with a welcome and farewell song. The food was also delicious, the breakfast was incredible, with a multitude of options to choose from with the Asian, Japanese, Tandori and other menu’s. The resort allows for paradise with a Fijian authentic feel, I highly recommend staying at Yatule as opposed to intercontinental. 10/10

We love coming back to Yatule. By far Yatule is situated on the best beach, which is easily accessible, on the main island. The rooms are not 5 star but they are decent enough to enjoy. The point is to make the most of the surroundings this resort is situated at. The pool is lovely to enjoy, love the beach walks, and don’t skimp on the sunsets! They’re the best. As for the food, I’d highly recommend trying out the Asian cuisine by Sandy. She’s so passionate about cooking her cuisine and you can tell it’s made with a lot of love. We’ve had the scallion & garlic crab & lobster which was delicious. Other notably good dishes I’d recommend are the salt & pepper prawns which her signature chilli garlic garnish. It’s the best. The octopus salad is very refreshing and the Mongolian chicken is also a staple main dish. She makes a lovely Chinese style steamed fish as well! For the experience and how laid back everything is, I’d highly recommend yatule.
