We stayed here in March 2020 a week before the pandemic changed the world and I’m so glad we got this holiday in before all of that! We were the only guests, so close to nature, it felt remote and simple and I loved it. Sure, the room was run down, mouldy, door wouldn’t open and close properly and yeah there’s bugs etc but this is what I expected with what I paid - I wanted a rustic, cheap experience on a beautiful lagoon, and it really was beautiful! Not a soul to be seen, just us, a cute cat that visited each day, turtles and fish. So peaceful. Gorgeous sunsets. We could jump into the water at high tide from the balcony, or climb down the ladder to snorkel. There was a deck you could jump off too which was fun. There were a few staff members on, some didn’t understand English but one lady would often be the one who helped translate. Food wasn’t amazing but didn’t expect 5 star so it was fine. All apart of the experience. Very close to the wharf and market which was handy. How good is Sava’ii!!?? I hope to return one day. Stay here if you can have the right mindset to enjoy it. If not and you’re a bit ”precious” - just stay somewhere else!

By far the worst hotel experience ever!! I'd rate it far below the scale if I could! They couldn't even cater to basic needs. The rooms were horrendous and needing a lot of cleaning. The wooden bed frames, lamp, walls and even the FRIDGE was covered in lots of mould. The fridge was extremely dirty, covered in dirt and mould. With heaps of rust at the bottom of the fridge door. They didn't even have a shower curtain to prevent the water from getting out of the shower! They didn't even provide any form of hand soap or soap in general. Curtain rods weren't even attached properly and were hanging loosely. Overall, there were many health and safety issues regarding our room. It wasn't a healthy environment to be in and luckily we transferred to another hotel. I'd highly recommend for anyone NOT to pay a visit to Lusia's Lagoon Chalets. Although it was in an extremely convenient location, the hotel itself lacked all the basic things. It was not safe for anyone to stay in a mouldy room! Not happy with the standard of your hotel at all!!!

Close to the ferry which was what we needed. Food was suprisingly good. Room was tired, no mosquito net . Couldn't swim in the "pool" as it was full of debris and plastic but the lagoon was clean. Asked for passport details on arrival and a 20 tala deposit for the key (returned at check out) . No one else in Samoa did this. As it was the most basic place we stayed at , we found this unusual.

Loved the facilities, good fun for me and my family. Only problem need a better menu and choices of nice tropical food not just the same old boring menu that is over priced for what we get on the plate, more training needed for the staff with how to deal with customers. And give good customer service. I was very happy with the young girl that gave me her flower and was always cleaning my room and helping me with anything I needed. Other then that really nice and cheap to stay.

Firstly, let me say that the staff are all truly lovely. I cannot comment on the garden accommodation but the shared fales are REALLY basic and need a lot of work to be nice. As to the shared bathroom, not nice at all, if you can call it that. The single sink is outside, the toilets and showers are in a tin hut with no where to even hang your towel. I really wanted to stay over the water but wouldn't again. Unless you are very strapped for cash stay in the ones with their own bathroom they looked quite nice indeed.
