Best beaches in Viti Levu, Fiji
Honest answer first: Viti Levu is not where Fiji keeps its postcard beaches — those are out in the Mamanucas and Yasawas. But the main island has a handful of genuinely good ones, led by Natadola, and knowing which stretch suits you saves a mediocre beach day.
About this guide
Natadola Beach on the southwest coast is the one everyone agrees on — a long horseshoe of white sand with swimmable water at most tides, 45 minutes from Nadi. Wailoaloa Beach in Nadi is dark volcanic sand; you stay there for the airport access, sunset views toward the Mamanucas, and the beach-bar strip rather than the swimming. The Coral Coast bays between Korotogo and Pacific Harbour are pretty and quiet but reef-flat at low tide — check tide times before planning a swim. Momi Bay, south of Nadi, holds a sheltered lagoon. At the island's northern tip, Volivoli's point near Rakiraki is sand backed by dive operations working the Bligh Waters. Denarau's beach is man-made and grey — go for the marina, not the sand. Day cruises from Port Denarau reach the offshore white-sand islands in under two hours.

Where to stay on the Coral Coast, Fiji
The Coral Coast is the 80-odd kilometres of Queens Road shoreline between Sigatoka and Pacific Harbour — Fiji's original resort strip, strung with properties from backpacker beach bars to five-star islands. It's the pick if you want resort comfort with real Fiji outside the gate: villages, the Sigatoka valley, and reef at low tide.

Everything below is on the main island, reachable by rental car or day tour from Nadi or the Coral Coast.
3 days in Fiji: a Nadi + Coral Coast itinerary
Three days in Fiji is short — too short for the outer islands unless you enjoy spending half your trip on transfers. This plan stays on Viti Levu, basing in Nadi and day-tripping: one day for the town and the Sabeto valley, one for the Coral Coast and Sigatoka, and a flexible final day at Natadola or on a Denarau day cruise before your flight.
