Samoa International Marathon 2026

Samoa's flagship road race — a scenic point-to-point run across the island of 'Upolu finishing in the heart of Apia. Distances span the full marathon (42.2 km, starting pre-dawn at Manono-Uta from ~1:00–3:00am), half marathon (from Faleasi'u), 10 km (from Fale'ula), 6 km (from Vaitele) and a 3 km fun run, with every course ending in the Apia CBD. Run annually by Samoa Events since 2016 and a magnet for international runners chasing a cool tropical-dawn marathon.

A 104 km, 24-stage team relay that circles the entire island of 'Upolu. Teams of six each run four legs (averaging ~4.5 km a leg) through coastal villages and rainforest, starting at Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa on the south coast and finishing at the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel in Apia. Uses a handicapped scattered-start format (earliest teams away from ~2:00am) so the field converges at the finish. Organised annually by Samoa Events.

A coastal out-and-back road race based at Lalomanu on 'Upolu's south-eastern Aleipata coast — consistently rated one of the most beautiful stretches of road in Samoa. The half marathon (21.1 km) starts at 7:00am, with 10 km, 6 km and 4 km options following at 7:45am, all turning around along the Aleipata shoreline. Run annually by Samoa Events.

Independence Cup — Kilikiti 2026
