New Assemblies of God Headquarters to Grace Suva's Skyline
The Assemblies of God in Fiji have broken ground on an impressive new headquarters in Suva, a project years in the making.
““First of all, it will be a landmark in the city of Suva. Secondly, we do take pride that at least we have a big facility of our own,” he said.”
It's always exciting to see new developments in the Pacific, and the recent groundbreaking for the Assemblies of God Fiji's new headquarters in Suva is certainly one to watch. The Fiji Sun reports that this significant seven-storey building, which has been over 30 years in the making, is expected to be completed within 15 months. It's a testament to the community's dedication, as the entire $17.9 million project is being funded by its members both in Fiji and from the Fijian diaspora overseas, with no external donors involved.
Reverend Filikesa Koroivueta, General Secretary for the Assemblies of God Fiji, shares that the development will not only provide a major facility for the church but also establish a new landmark in the capital city. Project Manager Sanjay Prasad notes the building will offer around 3,300 square metres of office and accommodation space. While this particular development is in Fiji, it reflects the ongoing growth and vitality of communities across the Pacific. For those visiting the region, the vibrant city of Suva is always a hub of activity and culture, offering a fascinating glimpse into Fijian life.
