Fiji's Tourism Sector Sees Major Development Near Nadi

Big news from Fiji as the Damodar Group and the Y3 Kofera Trust have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore a substantial 130-acre development. This proposed joint venture, located just off Denarau Island, aims to bolster tourism and commercial growth in the region, bringing long-term economic returns and job opportunities. The Y3 Kofera Trust, representing three land-owning clans (Yavusa Navatulevu, Yavusa Sila, and Yavusa Yakuilau) from Narewa Village, holds customary rights over valuable land in the Nadi delta. Their involvement ensures that the local community will benefit directly from this project, with provisions for welfare and educational support.

Div Damodar, CEO of Damodar Group, expressed enthusiasm for combining the landowners' vision with the Group's development expertise, aiming for a sustainable real estate investment that supports the tourism sector and delivers lasting value to the Fijian economy. Samuela Tuidraki, a Y3 Kofera Trustee, highlighted the opportunity for landowners to participate directly in the long-term development and commercial use of their land.
