Fiji's Tourism Continues to Grow with New Luxury Resort
A major luxury hotel brand is coming to Fiji, signalling a boost for the region's tourism industry and offering new options for visitors.

““Fiji is one of the Pacific’s most compelling resort destinations, and we are excited to work with Fiji National Provident Fund to introduce JW Marriott to the market.”
Big news from our neighbours in Fiji! Marriott International is set to launch its luxury JW Marriott brand there in early 2027, with the existing Westin Fiji on Denarau Island converting to the new JW Marriott Fiji Resort and Spa. This move is a clear sign of the Pacific's growing appeal as a high-end travel destination, aiming to meet the increasing demand for luxury tourism experiences.
The rebranded resort will feature premium rooms, two-bedroom villas with private pools, and separate family and adults-only pools. Dining options will range from global flavours and Pacific traditions to Japanese-inspired cuisine and a sophisticated wine and cocktail lounge. There will also be a dedicated kids' club and a teen zone, ensuring a fantastic experience for all ages.
Rajeev Menon, President of Marriott International, noted that JW Marriott's focus on "mindful experiences, meaningful connections and holistic well-being" perfectly complements Fiji's natural beauty. This development not only enhances Fiji's tourism offerings but also highlights the Pacific's potential to attract more visitors seeking quality and luxury. It's wonderful to see the region continue to thrive and offer such diverse and enriching experiences.
