Fiji's New Jaguar Ferry Enhances Island Travel for Visitors
Fiji's Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands welcome a new high-speed ferry, Jaguar, promising smoother, more comfortable journeys for tourists.

“Fiji has welcomed a major addition to its marine transport network as South Sea Cruises Group introduces Jaguar, a new high-speed passenger ferry designed to enhance island connectivity and strengthen Marine Tourism infrastructure.”
It's always great to see our Pacific neighbours investing in their tourism infrastructure, and Fiji's recent upgrade to its marine transport network is certainly worth noting. The new high-speed passenger ferry, Jaguar, is set to make island hopping in Fiji's Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands even more enjoyable for visitors. This vessel is the latest addition from the South Sea Cruises Group, completing a two-year fleet renewal programme that also saw the introduction of Yasawa Flyer III last year.
The Jaguar is designed with passenger comfort in mind, featuring spacious air-conditioned lounges, panoramic viewing areas, and even a travel desk on board. It can carry 227 guests and boasts improved fuel efficiency, which is a welcome step towards more sustainable travel in the region. While this particular ferry serves Fiji, the focus on modern, comfortable, and efficient marine transport is a positive sign for tourism across the South Pacific.
Improvements like these make island destinations more accessible and appealing, ensuring that travellers have a seamless and pleasant experience from the moment they arrive. It’s a good reminder of the continuous efforts needed to enhance the visitor journey in our beautiful part of the world.
