Fiji Gateway Hotel expands capacity, a positive sign for Pacific tourism

The Fiji Gateway Hotel has expanded its room count and dining facilities to meet growing visitor demand, a great sign for Pacific travel.

“Fiji Gateway Hotel has unveiled 47 new rooms and expanded dining facilities as rising visitor numbers drive demand for more accommodation near Nadi International Airport.”

It's always good news to hear about growth in Pacific tourism, and a recent article highlights just that with the expansion of the Fiji Gateway Hotel. Located directly opposite Nadi International Airport, the Fiji Gateway Hotel has added 47 new rooms and suites, alongside enlarged dining facilities. This move increases the hotel's total inventory from 95 to 135 rooms, including deluxe rooms and two-bedroom suites, offering more flexibility for various travellers.

Raffe Hotels & Resorts CEO Lee Pearce noted that the expansion was a direct response to sustained high occupancy levels and increasing visitor arrivals in Fiji. The hotel group aims to provide more choice and comfort while maintaining the warm hospitality and tropical charm Fiji is known for. The design of the new wing, by New Zealand-based Furnz Group, draws on Fiji’s natural environment and cultural identity, incorporating softened timber tones, organic textures, and handcrafted local elements. This development is a strong indicator of a healthy and growing tourism sector in our region, which benefits all of us in the Pacific.
